Project Description

The project originates from my Design Theory class, where we took an in-depth look at how landscape theory can be practically applied. In my final project, I decided to engage in decelerated time theory, a theory from Brett Milligan regarding the slowing and stopping of time in landscapes. My project focused on how time impacts sea level rise within the Morro Bay Estuary, a highly sensitive and crucial ecological location. I created a miniature estuary with a series of boardwalks over top, allowing for ecological protection and human exploration.
